Freezing for a Cause

Alpha Phi Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta present “Freezing for a Cause” on Feb. 3. They will be in the quad from 9 to 11 p.m. collecting clothing to be donated to the less fortunate. Backstage Pass

The music industry management program presents its second annual fundraiser, which will feature Grammy Award-winning singing/songwriting duo Mark Selby and Tia Sillers. The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on Feb. 5 and includes entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, and hosted bar. The cost is $100. Waking Ned Divine

As part of the Festival of the Arts Foreign Film Series, “Waking Ned Divine” will be showing at the Big Rapids Community Library On Feb. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. The comedy film depicts the story of a lottery winner who dies of shock and his neighbors who decide his good fortune cannot go to waste. Turkish Foreign Policy: Opportunities and Challenges

On Feb. 9 the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Global Initiative present the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey, The Honorable Ugur Kenan Ipek. His lecture will focus on what lies ahead for the U.S., Europe, and Turkey.
