Behind the Bench

With 287 career victories, Ferris State hockey coach Bob Daniels ranks 11th among active NCAA Division I hockey coaches.

Daniels is the winningest coach in Ferris State hockey history and has the longest tenure of any Bulldog hockey coach. Ferris State’s only Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Regular-Season Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance came in 2002-2003 under Daniels’ tenure.

Daniels played for three seasons at Michigan State under Ron Mason, the all-time winningest coach in NCAA Division I hockey history. However, Daniels was recruited by MSU legendary coach Amo Bessone during his final season
at MSU.
