Robinson signs with "America's Team"

Ferris defensive back signs NFL contract

Former Ferris State safety Marvin Robinson signed an NFL contract as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys.

Robinson spent one season with Ferris and led the team with 89 total tackles in 2013. Prior to 2013, Robinson played for the University of Michigan, appearing in 28 contests with 28 total tackles and a fumble recovery.

The 6-5 200 pound safety became the tenth former Ferris football player to sign an NFL deal, the last being defensive back Angelo Williams in 2010 with the Minnesota Vikings.

Robinson’s most active game as a Bulldog came on the road against Hillsdale College where he tallied 17 total tackles in a loss. He was an All-GLIAC First Team selection in 2013.

Robinson was ranked within the top 50 players at his position in the draft prior to the NFL draft.
