Ferris State University student Zachary Carl Douglas, 20, of Grand Rapids, has been charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

A female Ferris student reported to the Ferris Department of Public Safety in November that Douglas had assaulted her once in February and again in November. According to court documents, both incidents occurred on campus, one involving force or coercion and the other involving an incapacitated victim.

Following an investigation, DPS contacted Douglas about a warrant for his arrest. He turned himself in on Dec. 7.

Douglas’ felony charges carry a 15-year maximum prison sentence. His bond was set at $125,000 and a preliminary examination is scheduled for Douglas at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
