Ferris football honors senior Dawgs
Ferris honored one of the most successful senior classes in Bulldog football history Saturday, Nov. 12.

This year’s football squad contained 20 graduating seniors who are no stranger to winning, as they have compiled a 38-7 record over the past four seasons.

In addition to their regular season success, the Bulldog seniors have also been part of teams that have now clinched three straight NCAA Div. 2 playoff berths and won two GLIAC championships.

And the award goes to…
Freshman hitter Allyson Cappel has roped in her third GLIAC Player of the week award for volleyball as she continues an impressive season.

Cappel was given the award after she led the Bulldogs to three wins last week, helping them to secure the GLIAC North Division Championship for the third straight year.

As the Bulldogs begin to shift towards post-season play, look for Cappel to be the beneficiary of plenty more awards.

Full house
Ferris State hockey squared off against the Michigan State Spartans Saturday, Nov. 12, in front of a sold-out crowd. This marks the second time this season that the Bulldogs have played before a full house, as the stands were also full when they took the ice against the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor Wolverines.

Attending fans got their money’s worth as the Bulldogs fought the Spartans hard in a 4-3 loss.

The Bulldogs took down the Spartans Thursday, Nov. 10, 4-1 in East Lansing.

Ball till’ you fall
The Ferris men’s basketball team opened their season with back to back wins over the weekend.

The Bulldogs were on the road in St. Louis, Mo. for the GLIAC/GLVC Classic taking on Missouri and Quincy. The team showed their dominance as they outscored both opponents by double digits to jump out to a quick 2-0 record to begin the season.
