Ferris student dies in car crash

An MLive article recently reported that Ferris student Nicole Swanson died in a car crash at approximately 3 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 23.

According to the report, Swanson was driving north around the area of South Maple City Road when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and crashed into a tree. Her car caught on fire in result of the crash. However, a passerby was able to pull her out of the vehicle and support her until emergency responders arrived. Swanson was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after responders arrived.
