Senior goaltender Logan Stein announced his transfer to the University of Michigan on Monday.
Stein, who appeared in 75 games for Ferris, declared his transfer in an Instagram post.
“I would like to thank Ferris State for the last four years,” Stein wrote. “I am very grateful for the opportunities Ferris State gave me and for giving me such special friendships that will last a lifetime.”
The Suwanee, Georgia native holds a career .892 save percentage for the Bulldogs, which included a career-high .910 save percentage this past season.
Stein is the second goaltender to transfer from the Bulldogs after junior Noah Giesbrecht transferred to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute earlier this month.
Shortly after Stein’s announcement, senior University of Michigan goaltender Noah West announced his transfer to Ferris State.
West played for Robert West University his freshman year before transferring to the Wolverines for three seasons. West played 13 games and recorded over 200 saves in his appearances.
West now becomes one of two goaltenders on the Bulldog’s roster alongside sophomore Joey Henson.
Henson is now the longest-tenured netminder on the Bulldogs’ roster. West will join the Bulldogs for his fifth year while Swedish-born rookie Martin Holtet Lundberg is expected to be with the Bulldogs in 2024-25.
