Plastic surgery seems to be the cure for all the ugly parts our creator gave us.
Everyone has their own opinion about these cosmetic procedures; however, most people are agreeing that reality star Heidi Montag went too far.
The 23-year-old Hills star had 10 procedures in one day. According to the Insider’s website, these procedures include: a mini brow lift, Botox injections in the forehead and frown areas, a nose job revision, fat injections in the cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips, a chin reduction, neck liposuction, pinning back of the ears, a breast augmentation revision, liposuction on waist, hips and outer thighs and, finally, a buttock augmentation. Holy crap, that is a lot of stuff!
Even though these surgeries seem unnecessary and extreme because Montag was pretty hot before going under the knife, I believe that she is entitled to do whatever she wants with her body and money.
Most people say they would never get plastic surgery, but I think that claim is a bit untrue. I believe that most people at their current income would not pay for cosmetic surgery, but if they had loads of cash, I think the story might be different. I would get liposuction quick, fast and in a hurry if I had the money. Diets suck, and if I could get rid of my muffin top without running or giving up cheeseburgers, I would!
Everyone has something about themselves they do not like and if they could change it with a magic wand, they would. For some people, that magic wand is a surgical knife. People want to be beautiful and feel good about themselves. Most of the time people’s self-esteem and confidence comes from looking physically beautiful or pleasing to themselves and others. I am not saying that looking like a Barbie doll is the only way to be happy or beautiful, but if looking that way is what makes a person happy then others should not pass judgment.
Many people have cosmetic procedures. Not everyone that has surgery has to come out looking like a mannequin. Even celebrities we give a crap about like Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker have had surgery. There is nothing wrong with fixing undesirable parts about our bodies. Some people get nose jobs while others create an entirely different person. The choice is theirs.
Sure, some people like Joan Rivers and Janice Dickinson take plastic surgery too far. People try to fight aging with Botox and chemical peels. The truth is that no one can stop aging because there is no way to put the brakes on time. People are going to look old whether they want to or not. Having the choice to try and cheat Father Time is not wrong. Besides, people who get plastic surgery are the only ones who have to live with the outcome, be it good or bad.
Plastic surgery does not solve everything. If a person does not like themselves before the surgery and has low self-esteem, chances are they still will not like what they see in the mirror. Regardless of that fact, people should be allowed to do as they please. It is no one else’s business how others spend their money or feel about their looks. Heidi Montag very well may become the next Cher and never age. And although plastic surgery is often extreme, what goes on in the operating room is no one else’s business. ν
