Attempted Robbery in West Campus Apartments

Attempted Robbery

On Jan. 22, in the West Campus Apartments, there were two subjects (one with a gun) who threatened occupants in a robbery. The subjects were lodged in the county jail. No one was hurt. The handgun has been recovered. The two subjects are scheduled for court on Feb. 2.

Disorderly Subject

On Jan. 27 at 4:30 p.m., there was a report of a disorderly subject in Cramer Hall. The subject punched a hole in the wall prior to the officer’s arrival.

Theft Complaint

On Jan. 27 at 1:30 p.m., there was a report of a theft complaint at the Rock Café. An iPod had been stolen from the locker room.

Hit and Run

On Jan. 26 at 5:20 p.m., there was a report of a hit and run accident in Lot 3. The suspect’s vehicle has been identified. Investigation continues.

Stolen Vehicle

On Jan. 25 at 2:40 p.m., there was a report of a vehicle stolen from Lot 28. The vehicle was a two-door dark green Chevrolet.

Keep Your Belongings Close!

On Jan. 25 at 8:30 p.m., there was a report of a jacket stolen from the Student Recreational Center. The jacket was left unattended under a bench.

Accident in Lot 38

On Jan. 25 at 9:30 p.m., there was a hit and run accident in Lot 38.

Loud Noise

On Jan. 23 at 11:45 p.m., there was a report of a loud noise in the South Campus Apartments. Suspects quieted down prior to officer’s arrival.

Several MIPs

On Jan. 22 at 10 p.m., officers assisted resident hall staff at McNerny Hall for minors in possession (MIP). Seven subjects were ticketed.

Stolen Books

On Jan. 21 at 4:50 p.m., there was a report of a text book stolen from a backpack at the Rock Café.

Intoxicated Subjects

On Jan. 22 at 1:30 a.m., officers assisted hall staff at Cramer Hall with intoxicated subjects. Two subjects were MIP and ticketed for the same.

Disorderly Person

On Jan. 22 at 2:30 a.m., there was a report of a disorderly person in Masselink Hall. He was ripping posters from the wall. The suspect was identified and ticketed for MIP and held for Kent County warrants.

Ticket Totals

From Jan. 21 through the 28, the Department of Public Safety identified 436 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $7,590. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided, or reduced.
