Spring fashion is all over the hottest runways and it’s time to update your look with these interesting new trends.
Pack up your boots and put those heavy winter jackets away to make room for all the latest spring looks.
The hottest trend in women’s fashion for the spring is something called the Urban Safari look, according to cosmopolitan.com.
This look consists of slightly oversized khaki jackets and bottoms. Neutral tones like olive green or a lighter navy color can be worn with these pieces. Pair this outfit with gold or animal print accessories and strappy heels and you have the look.
Leather shorts and jackets, mostly in neutrals, is another trend. Sheer tops that drape over your body are in and are a great piece to pair with these leather basics.
Another great look for the season is cowgirl chic, which consists of a fitted denim jacket, which can be worn with almost anything, ruffles on skirts, which are being seen on accessories and other clothing items as well, wide belts, and high heel boots.
A big hit this season is accessories, skirts, shirts, dresses, and even pants decked out in floral designs.
Spring is reminiscent of pastels, but vibrant colors such as yellow, blue, purple, orange, and pink are more dominant this season. African prints, mix-matched patterns, and tie dye are also very prominent in women’s fashion right now.
Many of these women’s fashion trends are being paired with either a very skinny belt or a very wide belt.
Guys should be on the lookout for new trends as well. Retro sneakers and plastic aviators are the two big accessories for men this spring, according to GQ.com. Other men’s must-haves are brightly colored faced watches and straw fedora hats.
Staples for male wardrobes this spring will be polos, button downs, and v-neck shirts, which are best for layered looks. Military style canvas jackets and leather jackets are also a smash hit on men’s runways for spring.
“This spring’s looks are positive and upbeat,” said Nicole Phelps, executive editor of style.com. “I think they’re pretty versatile and will carry you through the summer and early fall.”
