The Ferris softball team fell 2-1 to Northwood on Wednesday in a game to make up a rained-out contest from April 3.
Ferris lost 5-0 to the Timberwolves earlier in the season before rain cancelled the second game of the doubleheader.Bulldog freshman pitcher Dana Bowler allowed two hits and one earned run over six innings in the loss. Northwood scored its runs in the first innings and Bowler allowed two base runners over the final five innings.
The Ferris offense scored its lone run in the top of the sixth inning on a single by senior outfielder Rachel Wade. The Bulldogs lost both home contests to the Timberwolves this season and play a doubleheader at Northwood on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs final eight games of the regular season are on the road, where the team is 6-0 this season. Ferris plays at Saginaw Valley State on Saturday and at Wayne State on Sunday.
