A round-up of this week’s crime on the FSU campus

Wires Cut

On April 19 at 11 a.m., a subject noticed that their vehicle’s transmission wires were cut in Lot 47. Investigation continues. No suspects.

Traffic Stop

On April 22 at 2:20 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near Travis Circle. Investigation revealed a small amount of marijuana. Matters referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Threat Complaint

On April 20 at 5:56 a.m., officers were called on a threat complaint. The subject was having problems with other people at a local business. Matters referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Marijuana Complaint

On April 19, officers were dispatched to Clark Hall. Investigation revealed a minor amount of marijuana. The subject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Assault Complaint

On April 19 at 3:55 p.m., officers were called to Bond Hall in reference to an assault complaint. Officers made contact with both subjects after a small foot pursuit from the suspect. The suspect was arrested.

Suspicious Smell

On April 17 at 4:50 p.m., officers were called to Finch Court. Investigation revealed marijuana residue. The subject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

OWI

On April 18 at 3:33 a.m., officers performed a traffic stop on Knollview Drive for a traffic violation. Investigation revealed the subject was Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). Subject was lodged in the county jail.

Damaged Vehicle

On April 15, officers dispatched to the West Campus Community Center to a damaged vehicle. The victim noticed her passenger side window was damaged. No suspects.

Car on Fire

On April 15, officers dispatched to Lot 16 to a vehicle that was on fire. The vehicle had been parked and the fire left the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle is being investigated by the fire department.

Suspicious Male

On April 15, officers were called to the Student Recreational Center for a male subject observed walking through the women’s locker room. The subject advised that he was taking a short cut. The subject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Ticket Totals

From April 16 through the 22, the Department of Public Safety identified 362 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $6,150. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided, or reduced.
