A round-up of this week’s crime across the FSU campus

Fraudulent Transaction
On Sept. 24 at 11:30 a.m., there was a report of a fraud complaint. The victim attempted to purchase a vehicle on the internet and when he wired the money to an out-of-state location he did not receive a vehicle.

Civil Dispute
On Sept. 22 at 9 p.m., there was a report of a civil dispute at the West Campus Apartments. The subjects were separated and referred to counseling.

Caught in Another County
On Sept. 28 at 11:30 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for no headlights. The driver had outstanding warrants from Newaygo County and was lodged in the county jail.

Stolen Bag
On Sept. 27 at 8:15 a.m., there was a report of a stolen backpack. The backpack was left next to a vehicle in Lot 11 and contained an iPod. No suspects.

Felonious Assault
On Sept. 26 at 1 a.m., officers received a report of a felonious assault in the Travis Circle area. The suspect’s vehicle was later located in the Hillcrest Apartments area. The subject was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct. The other subject was ticketed for minor in possession (MIP).
Illegally Driving
On Sept. 27 at 4 p.m., officers stopped a moped with two occupants on North Campus Drive. The driver was ticketed for having a suspended license.

Keys Carried Away
On Sept. 23 at 6 p.m., there was a report of stolen keys at the Student Recreation Center. The keys were left unattended on a bench outside of the weight room.

Ticket Totals: From Sept. 23 through the 29, the Department of Public Safety identified 428 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $7,080. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided, or reduced. n
