Hit and Run

On Oct. 4 at 1:20 p.m., there was a report of a hit and run accident in Lot 36. A white Pontiac was struck while parked.

Illegally Driving

On Oct. 3 at 3:35 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Perry Street for defective equipment. The driver had no license and had a valid warrant. The driver was lodged in the county jail.

Suspicious person

On Oct. 2 at 7:25 p.m., there was a report of a suspicious acting person at the Williams Auditorium. The person was MIP and was in possession of marijuana. Subject was ticketed for the same.

Trespassers

On Oct. 2 at 12:55 a.m., officers assisted hall staff at McNerny Hall with a marijuana complaint. One subject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office for the second subject who was also a non-student.

Shoplifters

On Oct. 1 at 11:20 a.m., officers assisted the sheriff’s department with shoplifters at Wal-Mart. One subject was lodged in the county jail.

Missing Money

On Oct. 6 at 3:55 p.m., there was a report of a theft complaint. The subject’s wallet was missing in the Lot 5 area. When it was returned, the money was missing.

Suspicious Damage

On Oct. 4 at 2:20 p.m., damage was done to the men’s restroom in the Rankin Student Center. No suspects.

Stolen Sign

On Oct. 4 at 12:40 p.m., there was a report of a sorority sign stolen from the quad. No suspects.

Harassment Complaint

On Oct. 5 at 9:55 p.m., there was a report of a harassment complaint in Hallisy Hall. The subjects were told to stay away from each other.

Ticket Totals: From Sept. 30 through Oct. 6, the Department of Public Safety identified 434 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $7,200. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid voided or reduced. n
