A round-up of this week’s crime across the FSU campus

Flee and Elude

Oct. 30 at 10:30 p.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle on State Street for a traffic violation. The vehicle attempted to flee. The vehicle stopped in Lot 16 and the driver and passenger ran. The driver was apprehended and arrested for attempting to flee and elude and for OWI. The passenger was located and arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Fraud Complaint

Oct. 29 at 4:45 p.m., there was a report of a fraudulent use of a credit card at Travis Hall. The suspect was identified and referred to the Office of Student conduct. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s officer.

Hit and Run

Oct. 27 at 2 p.m., there was a report of a hit and run in Lot 3. The suspect was identified and a warrant was issued for an arrest for failure to report incident at the scene of the accident.

Three-Car Accident

Oct. 27 at 5:20 p.m., there was a report of a multiple vehicle accident in Lot 47. A parked car slipped out of gear and hit two cars, damaging all three vehicles.

Theft Complaint

Oct. 29 at 3:55 p.m., there was a report of theft complaint at the FLITE Library. A desktop computer was missing. Investigation continues.

Vehicle Damage

Oct. 31 at 1:30 a.m., there was a report of a person damaging vehicles in Lot 11. The suspect was identified and lodged in the county jail.

Marijuana Complaint

Nov. 3 at 9 p.m., officers assisted housing with a marijuana compliant at the East Campus Apartments. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office. One suspect had a warrant and was arrested and lodged in the county jail.

Felonious Assault

Oct. 31 at 3:50 a.m., officers assisted the sheriff’s department and the Michigan State Police with a felonious assault that occurred in the county jail. The suspect was identified at the Mecosta County Medical Center and held until the State Police showed up.

Theft Complaint

Oct. 28 at 2:55 p.m., there was a report of a theft complaint in Travis Hall. A laptop was removed from a room. No suspects.

Expired Plates

Oct. 29 at 1:30 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on State Street for expired plates. The driver was ticketed for same.

Intoxicate Person

Oct. 29 at 2:25 a.m., officers assisted hall staff at Cramer for an intoxicated person. The subject was ticketed for MIP.

Ticket Totals: From Oct. 28 through Nov. 4, the Department of Public Safety identified 400 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $6,530. Actual amount depends whether ticket was paid, voided, or reduced. n
