Bulldogs eliminated from CCHA Tournament

WMU send Ferris home early from CCHA Tournament

The curtain was closed on the 2010-11 season for the Bulldogs as they lost the quarterfinal round of the CCHA Tournament to Western Michigan, 2-1.

Ferris won the first game of the series 3-1, but back-to-back victories for the Broncos, including a 5-4 overtime victory to end the series, sent the Bulldogs home early.

At 18-16-5 overall on the season, a NCAA Tournament bid is unlikely as the Bulldogs were ranked 22nd in the latest NCAA Pairwise Rankings. The rankings reflect the system that is used by the NCAA selection committee to select the 16 teams that will be invited to the tournament.

Although the team looks to be done for the season, senior defenseman Zach Redmond is in contention the Best Offensive Defenseman Award while senior goalie Pat Nagle is one of three finalists for the RBC Player of the Year.
