Crime continues along with school

A round-up of this week’s crime across the FSU campus

Stolen phone

Sept. 1 at 8 p.m., there was a complaint of theft larceny in the Business Building. A victim left his phone in a room and when he returned, the phone was gone.

 

Marijuana complaint

Sept. 1 at 9:20 p.m., there was a marijuana complaint in Finch Court. The subject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

 

Wrong way

Sept. 2 at 2 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on State Street driving on the wrong side of the road. The victim was intoxicated and given an OWI.

Trespassing

Sept. 1 at 7:20 p.m., officers arrested suspect for trespassing in Kramer Hall. The suspect was lodged in county jail.

 

Damaged vehicle

Aug. 29, in the morning, subject found vehicle damaged in Lot 4 from people walking on the hood.

 

Illegal U-turn

Sept. 1st at 3:40 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on State Street for an illegal U-turn and was ticketed. The passenger was found to have a warrant out and was lodged in county jail.

 

Hit and run

Aug. 31 at 12:25 p.m., there was a hit and run in Lot 37.

 

Traffic control

Aug. 29 at 8:10 p.m., officers assisted the city fire department for traffic control on Locus between State and Michigan.

 

Trespassing

Aug. 28 at 10:25 a.m., officers assisted sheriff department at Seneca parkway. The subject was trespassing at location and lodged in county jail.

 

Two-car collision

Aug. 26 at 12:15 p.m., there was a report of a two-car accident in Lot 39. The vehicle struck a parked car as attempting to park car in lot.

Trespassing

Aug. 26 at 9:05 p.m., there was a trespassing complaint in McNerney Hall. Subject was identified and removed from hall.

 

Assault complaint

Aug. 29 at 1:40 p.m., there was an assault complaint at Rankin Center. Victim was approached by another female and began arguing. The victim was struck in the mouth and a warrant request was sent to the prosecutor office for assault.

 

Revoked drivers license

Aug. 29 at 5 p.m., a vehicle was stopped on Ives Avenue for improper U-turn. The subject was found to have a revoked drivers license and was lodged in county jail.

 

Open Intox

Aug.  28 at 12:15 a.m., a person was stopped on Michigan Avenue near Locus for open intox, an open bottle of beer. Two subjects were found to be MIP and ticketed.

  

Off the road

Aug. 29 at 1:30 a.m., officers observed vehicle drive off road at Cedar near Michigan Avenue. Driver was intoxicated and was ticketed with an OWI.

 

Intoxicated minor

Aug. 27 at 12:05 a.m., officers observed an intoxicated subject on South Street near Taggart Hall. The minor was ticketed an MIP.

 

Another intoxicated minor

Aug. 28 at 4:10 a.m., officer assisted hall staff at Pickell Hall. There was an intoxicated subject and the subject was found to be an MIP and was ticketed.

 

Open Beer

Aug. 27 at 12:15 a.m., a group of subjects were stopped with open beer. Four were ticketed for MIP.

 

Ticket Totals: From Aug. 26 through now, the Department of Public Safety iden­ti­fied 490 vio­la­tors. Each vio­la­tor was tick­eted for a total of $7,995. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided or
reduced.
