Marijuana use
Sept. 24 at 4:45 a.m., officers assisted hall staff at Clark Hall for use of marijuana. Two subjects were ticketed for MIP and a warrant request was sent to prosecutor’s office.
Suspicious stuff
Sept. 25 at 12:55 a.m., officers inspected suspicious activity on State Street near 14 Mile. Two subjects were ticketed for MIP.
Failure to dim
Sept. 25 at 2:15 a.m., a vehicle was stopped on Ives Avenue for failure to dim headlights. The driver was arrested on outstanding warrant in Clinton County and was ticketed for driving on a suspended license.
Intoxication at Helen Ferris
Sept. 25 at 12:5 a.m., officers observed intoxicated subjects near Helen Ferris Hall, two subjects were ticketed for MIP.
Domestic dispute
Sept. 24 at 3:05 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic dispute near Williams Auditorium. Two subjects were ticketed for MIP.
Kicking a sign
Sept. 25 at 1:30 a.m., officers spotted an obscured subject kicking a sign on Campus Drive near Lot 37. The subject was found to be intoxicated and given an MIP.
Careless driving
Sept. 23 at 3 a.m., a vehicle was stopped for careless driving in Lot 5. Subject was intoxicated and lodged in county jail for OWI.
Two- car crash
Sept. 20 at 12:10 p.m., there was a report of a two-car crash in parking lot near Katke Golf Course.
Damaged bicycles
Sept. 16 at 10:24 a.m., there was a report of numerous bicycles being damaged on southeast campus of Taggart Hall. Ferris police are offering reward leading to subject’s arrest.
Stolen permit
Sept. 16 at 9 a.m., there was a report of a stolen faculty/staff parking permit.
Stolen cell phone
Sept. 16 at 7:40 p.m., there was a report of stolen cell phone at Student Rec Center. Phone was left unattended near the back bleachers.
Ticket Totals: From August 27 through now, the Department of Public Safety identified 453 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $9,060. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided or reduced.
