Bomb threat
Jan. 12 at 8:10 a.m., campus police were advised of a bomb threat that an employee found on their voicemail in the Business Office at the Timme Center. FSU police advised the campus community of the threat and coordinated search of all campus community to check for suspicious items. Investigations regarding the source of the call remain open. Anyone who wants emergency alerts is advised to update their contact information on MyFSU.
MIP on South Street
Jan. 12 at 12:20 a.m., officers observed two intoxicated subjects on South Street near State Street. Two subjects were MIP and ticketed.
MIP at Rite Aid
Jan. 11 at 3:20 a.m., officers stopped an intoxicated female in the Rite Aid parking lot and found her to be MIP.
Marijuana complaint
Jan. 10 at 9:40 p.m., officers assisted hall staff with a marijuana complaint in Travis Hall. Two subjects were referred to the Office of Student Conduct and a warrant request was sent out.
Jailed for Marijuana
Jan. 10 at 10:40 p.m., officers assisted hall staff at Taggart Hall concerning marijuana. One subject was lodged in county jail.
MIP at West Campus
Jan. 8 at 2:20 a.m., report of a loud party on Cardinal Court at West Campus Apartments People were asked to quiet down and one person was ticketed for MIP.
Marijuana complaint at Cramer
Jan. 8 at 1:40 a.m., officers assisted Hall staff at Cramer hall for a marijuana complaint. Two people were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
Suspended license
Jan. 5 at 4:20 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on State Street near Ferris Drive for defective equipment. Driver had a suspended license and was ticketed.
Marijuana complaint at Miller
Jan. 7 at 5:20 p.m., officers assisted hall staff at Miller Hall concerning a marijuana complaint. Two subjects were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
OWI
Jan. 5 at 12:40 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Perry Street near State Street for defective equipment. Driver found to be intoxicated and lodged in jail for OWI.
Bike removal
Dec. 19 FSU Ground Department removed 140 bicycles from bike racks around campus. Any student whose bicycle was impounded is requested to contact the police department and retrieve their bike. University ordinates don’t allow bikes on campus during the winter season because of snow removal requirements.
Ticket Totals: From January 5 through the 12, the Department of Public Safety identified 367 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $6,120. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided or reduced.
