Another two-car accident

On Sept. 9 at 10:45 p.m., a parked car was struck by another vehicle in Lot 4. No one was ticketed.

Theft at the Rock

On Sept. 7 at 1 a.m., a backpack was reported stolen at the Rock Café. The investigation is ongoing.

Damaged property

On Sept. 9 at 5:10 p.m., there was a report of a poster damaged outside of Miller Hall. The damage is thought to have occurred earlier that day.

Bike swiped

On Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m., a bicycle was reported stolen from the bike rack outside Ward Hall. The theft is thought to have occurred sometime in the previous three days.

Broken mirrors

On Sept. 8 at 4:50 p.m., there was a report of a damaged vehicle in Lot 4. The mirrors were broken off a parked car. The incident is thought to have occurred sometime in the previous three days.

Residence room thievery

On Sept. 9 at 8 p.m., there was a report of a theft from a room in Cramer Hall. Residents said money had been taken from their room sometime in the previous two days. Officers are continuing their investigation.

Smoking at the Sports Complex

On Sept. 7 at 10:50 p.m., officers came in contact with a female in possession of marijuana during a special event at the Sports Complex. The subject was transported to and lodged in the county jail.

Reckless driving

On Sept. 8 at 11:20 p.m., there was a report of reckless driving in the Holiday Inn parking lot. Upon locating the subject, officers discovered the subject to be intoxicated. The subject was transported to and lodged in the county jail for an OWI.

Damaged door

On Sept. 3 at 12:15 a.m., there was a report of a damaged door on the second floor of McNerney Hall in the south stairwell.

Downtown drinking

On Sept. 1 at 2:30 a.m., officers observed a subject carrying a construction barricade near the intersection of Cedar Street and Warren Avenue. The subject was found to be intoxicated and was ticketed for an MIP.

Party at South Bond

On Sept. 1 at 11:20 p.m., officers assisted hall staff in South Bond concerning a loud party. Two subjects were ticketed for MIPs.

Marijuana in Lot 47

On Sept. 8 at 1:25 a.m., officers came in contact with a subject in his or her vehicle in Lot 47 who was in possession of marijuana. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office for possession of marijuana.

More Mary Jane

On Sept. 8 at 1:45 a.m., officers located a subject in a vehicle in Lot 23 who was in possession of marijuana. A warrant was sent to the prosecutor’s office.

Bumper cars

On Sept. 5 at 9:50 a.m., there was a report of a two-car accident in Lot 15. The driver struck a parked car while attempting to pull into a parking space.

Stolen signs

On Sept. 8 at 9:45 p.m., there was a report of stolen signs in a parked car in Lot 28. The subject was identified and referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Ticket totals: From Aug. 27 through Sept. 17, the Department of Public Safety identified 704 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $11,830. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided, or reduced. n
