Attempted sexual assault investigation continues

A round-up of this week’s crime across the Ferris campus

On Oct. 26 at 11:55 p.m., there was a report of two people arguing outside Cramer Hall. Both subjects were ticketed for MIP.

Marijuana at Hallisy

On Oct. 25 at 6:20 p.m., officers assisted Hallisy Hall staff in reference to a marijuana complaint. One subject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office.

Credit card fraud

On Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m., there was a report of credit card fraud. The victim’s card was used to purchase a movie. The investigation continues.

Bike stolen near Bond

On Oct. 23 at 8 p.m., there was a report of a bike stolen from the rack by Lot 44 near Bond Hall.

More marijuana

On Oct. 24 at 9 p.m., there was a marijuana complaint in Cramer Hall. One subject was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Vehicle damaged

On Oct. 22 at 11:15 a.m., there was a report of vehicle damage in Lot 3. The investigation revealed one subject being found in possession of marijuana. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office.

Attempted sexual assault

On Oct. 23 at 8:10 p.m., there was a report of an attempted sexual assault near South Campus Apartments. The victim was pulled from the sidewalk into a tree area by a male. Victim fought off the attacker and went to the SRC to report the incident. The investigation continues, and anyone with information should contact DPS.

Window damage

On Oct. 27 at 4:45 a.m., there was a report of window damage in McNearny Hall. One subject was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained from hitting the window. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office.

Another damaged window

On Oct. 27 at 2:45 a.m., there was a report of a damaged window in Clark Hall. The subject punched a window and was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained. A warrant request for malicious destruction of property was sent to the prosecutor’s office.

Drunk in Lot 32

On Oct. 27 at 1:20 a.m., officers encountered two subjects in Lot 32. Both were ticketed for MIP.

Failure to stop

On Oct. 28 at 1:50 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Campus Drive that failed to obey a stop sign. The driver was found to be intoxicated and lodged in the county jail for OWI.
