Harassment in Brophy
On Sept. 30 at 9:15 p.m., there was a report of a student being harassed by a nonstudent in Brophy Hall. The suspect was trespassed from the university.
Missing child
On Oct. 10 at 7 a.m., officers assisted Newaygo County officers with a missing child case in Barton Township. The missing child was found the next day in the woods by a DNR searcher.
Phone harassment
On Oct. 9 at 2 a.m., a female victim reported receiving a harassing telephone call in Bond Hall.
Disorderly subject
On Oct. 9 at 10 p.m., officers assisted city police with a disorderly subject on Osceola Avenue.
Stolen bike
On Oct. 1 at 5:15 p.m., there was a report of a bicycle stolen from the Puterbaugh Hall bike rack.
Suspicious subjects
On Oct. 7 at 10:15 p.m., officers investigated suspicious subjects in Lot 61 resulting in three subjects being referred to the Office of Student Conduct for marijuana use.
Missing money
On Oct. 7 at 5 p.m., there was a report of money missing from a wallet in Brophy Hall.
Hit and run
On Oct. 9 at 5 p.m., there was a report of a hit and run accident in Lot 57.
Expired plates
On Oct. 8 at 9:45 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Mecosta Avenue near Oak Street for expired plates. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was ticketed.
Disorderly persons
On Oct. 6 at 6:30 a.m., officers assisted city police with disorderly subjects at Cranker’s restaurant.
Officers assist
On Oct. 5 at 4:10 a.m., officers assisted city police with disorderly subjects on the 200 block of Rust Avenue.
Oakwood fight
On Oct. 6 at 1 a.m., officers assisted the sheriff’s department with a large fight at Oakwood Townhouses.
Larceny complaint
On Oct. 9 at 4:30 a.m., there was a report of a larceny complaint in the study room of FLITE.
Suspicious situation
On Oct. 10 at 12:20 a.m., there was a report of a suspicious situation in Lot 4. The investigation resulted with one person being lodged in the county jail for possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
Marijuana complaint
On Oct. 8 at 11:30 p.m., officers assisted Hallisy Hall staff with a marijuana complaint.
Minors in possession
On Oct. 5 at 11 p.m., officers located three minors in possession of alcohol in the lobby of Travis Hall. All three were ticketed for MIP.
Alcohol violation
On Oct. 5 at 10:15 p.m., officers assisted Travis Hall staff with minors in possession of alcohol.
Drunk driver
On Oct. 5 at 3:25 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle for erratic driving on Ferris Drive. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was lodged in the county jail.
Erratic driving
On Oct. 4 at 2:15 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle for erratic driving on State Street. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and was lodged in the county jail.
Intoxicated driver
On Oct. 6 at 10:50 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on State Street near Taco Bell for an equipment violation. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was lodged in the county jail.
Disorder at Cramer
On Oct. 6 at 1:55 a.m., there was a report of disorderly subjects in Cramer Hall. One subject was lodged in the county jail for disorderly conduct.
Ticket Totals: From Oct. 3 through 10, the Department of Public Safety reported 384 violations. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $ 6,530. The actual amount depends on if the ticket was paid, voided or reduced.
