The presidential task are preparing to present solutions to the presidential council on Wednesday.
The task force, comprised of Ferris faculty and staff, have been drafting ideas for the last month. Due to the $2.1 million budget cut from student credit hour decline, the university created a task force to implement solutions to offset that amount. They have worked on solutions to retain students until graduation. Committees within the task force have created pages of ideas to implement next year.
Interim Vice President of Student Affairs Don Flickinger led the task force.
“[The president’s council] oversees all of the divisions,” Flickinger said.
After Eisler reviews, revises and approves a form of the task force draft, the ideas will go into effect in the fall of 2014.
More information will be available after the president has reviewed the suggestions.
