Malicious destruction of property
On Feb. 23 at 3:15 a.m., officers investigated a malicious destruction of property in Bond hall. The subject was identified and lodged in the county jail.
Trespassing in FLITE
On Feb. 19 at 6:05 p.m., there was a report of a person trespassing on campus in FLITE library. The suspect was located, issued a ticket for trespassing and escorted off campus.
Disorderly person
On Feb. 21 at 12:30 a.m., there was a report of a disorderly person in Travis hall. The subject was transported to the hospital for injured sustained.
Accident in Lot 37
On Feb. 20 at 9:35 a.m., there was a report of a 2-car accident in Lot 37.
Suspicious person found with alcohol
On Feb. 23 at 1:30 a.m., officers observed a suspicious person near the Racquet and Fitness Center. The subject was found to be a minor in possession of alcohol. The subject was ticketed and referred to the office of student conduct.
Two-car accident
On Feb. 21 at 6 p.m., there was a report of a 2-car crash in Lot 17.
Driving without headlights
On Feb. 23 at 1:30 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on State Street for driving without headlights. The driver was ticketed for not having a valid drivers license.
Possession of open intoxicants
On Feb. 22 at 1 a.m., officers observed subjects with open alcohol on Michigan Avenue near Oak Street. One subject was ticketed for possession of open intoxicants.
Car accident in Lot 37
On Feb. 24 at 3 p.m., there was a report of a 2-car accident Lot 37.
Loud party in Merrill hall
On Feb. 22 at 1 a.m., officers assisted hall staff at Merrill hall for a loud party. Four subjects were issued tickets for being minors in possession of alcohol. They were also referred to the office of student conduct.
Altercation at West Campus Apartments
On Feb. 23 at 7:55 p.m., there was a report of an altercation between two subjects near West Campus Apartments. The subjects were separated and no criminal act was committed. They were referred to the office of housing and resident life.
Accident in Rite Aid parking lot
On Feb. 24 at 2:20 a.m., officer assisted city police with a 2-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Rite Aid.
Hit-and-run accident
On Feb. 24 at 12:20 a.m., there was a report of a hit-and-run accident in Lot 3.
Accident on Perry Street
On Feb. 21 at noon, there was a report of a 2-car accident at the intersection of Perry Street and Campus Drive.
Student missing
On Feb. 22 at 1:45 a.m., there was a report of a student missing from Merrill hall. The subject walked away from friends and couldn’t be located. He was found a short time later.
Property stolen from room
On Feb. 21 at 12:30 a.m., there was a report of property stolen from a room in Brophy hall.
Improper plates
On Feb. 24 at 11 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle in Lot 35 for entering the lot though a road labeled ‘do not enter’. Driver had improper plates and was ticketed.
Ticket Totals
From Feb. 19 through Feb. 26, the Department of Public Safety reported 388 violations. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $6,370. The actual amount depends on if the ticket was paid, voided or reduced.
