Unlawful tattooing in Brophy Hall

A round-up of this week’s crime across the FSU campus

Illegal tattoos

On March 1 at 7:30 p.m., officers investigated a report of unlawful tattooing in Brophy hall. The subject was removed from campus.

Domestic complaint

On March 3 at 9:30 p.m., officers assisted city police on Katherine Street with a domestic complaint.

Hit-and-run accident

On March 4 at 5:15 p.m., officers received a report of a hit-and-run in Lot 37.

Marijuana in Hallisy

On Feb. 28 at 1:30 p.m., officers assisted hall staff in Hallisy with a Marijuana complaint. The subject was referred to the office of student conduct.

Disorderly subjects

On March 8 at 7:45 p.m., officers assisted city police on disorderly subjects at the Dollar Store.

Eviction in west campus apartments

On Feb. 27 at 3:20 p.m., officers assisted housing in the west campus apartments with an eviction.

Suspicious person at Taco Bell

On March 1 at 9:55 p.m., officer assisted city police near Taco Bell for a suspicious person complaint.

Phone damage

On Feb. 28 5:30 p.m., there was a report of courtesy phone damage in Brophy hall.

Suspicious person

On Feb. 28 at 2:45 a.m., officers invested a suspicious person complaint in Lot 4. No criminal activities were discovered.

Vehicle damage

On March 2 at 4:50 p.m., there was a report of a vehicle damaged in Lot 9.

Two-car crash

On March 1 at 2:10 p.m., there was a report of a 2-vehicle crash on Family Drive.

Driving too fast for conditions

On Feb. 27 at 11:20 a.m., there was a report of a 2-car accident in Lot 27. One person was ticketed for driving too fast for the conditions.

Probation violation

On March 1 at 1:10 a.m., officers invested a suspicious person complaint in Taggart hall. One subject was found to be in violation of probation by the district court and referred to the office of student conduct.

Disorderly subject

On Feb. 27 at 10:30 p.m., there was a report of a disorderly subject in Lot 46. A warrant request has been sent to the prosecutor’s office.

Improper U-turn

On March 2 at 3:10 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on State Street for an improper U-turn. The driver was found to be intoxicated. The subject was lodged in the county jail for operating while intoxicated.

Ticket Totals

From Feb. 26 through March 5, the Department of Public Safety reported 265 violations. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $4,310. The actual amount depends on if the ticket was paid, voided or reduced.
