Mother Nature has once again wagged her finger at softball as Ferris State’s home and GLIAC openers were cancelled due to weather.
Both the double header against Ashland on March 22 and the double header against Malone on March 23 were cancelled. The games were given the no-go after a fresh two inches of snow fell Friday night, also eliminating the back-up plan of moving the contest to Davenport.
“It was sad to see, we were really excited to get out on the dirt again,” freshman catcher/third baseman, Sydney Hasselbach, said. “I really hope we can get practice going outside, but it doesn’t look like that will happen soon.”
Instead, Ferris will look towards their matchup against Lewis (Ill.) on Wednesday, March 26th, which is the next in line to be the Dawgs first home game. First pitch is slated for 3 pm, weather permitting of course.
