This week in Ferris Fantasy football, I squeaked by with a victory.
By a score of 83-82, I defeated the Ferris State football team, improving my record to 1-2 on the year. Hopefully the Dawgs can keep winning on the gridiron and I can keep winning the fantasy matchups. Anyway, without further ado, here is my roster for this week.
QB: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers This guy is good. Simple as that. If he does what he usually does, then he should put up some points.
RB: Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings I think Peterson is catching his stride, and as long as he stays injury-free, I think he’ll be a work horse for the Vikings this week.
WR1: A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals Green was unstoppable last week against the Ravens, catching 10 passes for a career high 227 yds and two TDs. Expect Andy Dalton to look his way often this week.
WR2: Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders It’s always risky picking a player from Oakland, but I think Derek Carr has found a solid No. 2 receiver in the rookie receiver.
FLEX: Donte Moncrief, Indianapolis Colts Moncrief has scored a touchdown every game this year. I think he might extend that streak against a weak Jaguars defense.
D/ST: New York Jets It worked last week to pick a defense who played an inconsistent Dolphins offense. Let’s hope it works again here.
K: Stephen Gostkowski, New England Patriots He’s one of the best fantasy kickers ever. If Jason Hanson was still an option I’d take him every week, but sadly enough the Lions’ leading scorer has been retired for years.
This team will go head to head with Ferris State’s best players from their next game against Findlay University this Saturday. The undefeated Bulldogs will take the field in hostile territory against Findlay at noon on Oct. 3.
