Oct. 24, officers confiscated an expandable baton from a student at The Rock. The student was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Wrong way
Oct. 30, 2:30 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle traveling the wrong direction down Stewart Street. The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and was jailed for operating while intoxicated.

That smell
Oct. 30, 3 p.m., officers assisted McNerney Hall staff with a marijuana odor complaint. One student was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Damaged window
Oct. 30, 9 p.m., officers investigated a damaged window at Clark Hall. Someone had ripped the screen off the window. The suspect was identified and lodged in jail.

Doobie drive
Oct. 31, 12:50 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Ferris Drive for defective equipment. Marijuana was discovered in the vehicle. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office and one student was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Drunk accident
Oct. 31, 1:35 a.m., officers responded to car accident in Travis Circle, where a vehicle had broken an axel on the curb. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

That smelly smell
Oct. 31, 2 a.m., officers assisted Travis Hall staff with a marijuana odor complaint. One student was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

The usual
Nov. 1, 1:15 a.m., officers assisted the city police with a disorderly subject at Shooters.

Drunk car chase
Nov. 1, 1:30 a.m., officers assisted the city police with a suspicious vehicle on Maple Street. The female driver was found to be intoxicated while a male student was passed out in the passenger seat. While she was being arrested, the male woke up and sped off in the vehicle. Officers pursued the vehicle and later found it stopped on South Street. The student attempted to flee in the vehicle again but crashed near the Student Recreation Center. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Suspended license
Nov. 1, 2 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on State Street for defective equipment. The driver of the vehicle was ticketed for driving on a suspended license.

Too cool for school
Nov. 1, 6:30 p.m., officers assisted a professor with a disorderly student in a classroom.

Party in Merrill
Nov. 1, 11:20 p.m., officers assisted Merrill Hall staff with a large party in a room. Several students fled through the window of the room and two were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Weed in Merrill
Nov. 2, midnight, officers assisted Merrill Hall staff with an odor of marijuana complaint. One student was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Deer
Nov. 2, 9:40 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle that hit a deer on State Street.

Overstayed welcome
Nov. 2, 1:20 p.m., a student refused to leave a professor’s office in the Allied Health building. The student was removed and referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Didn’t pay
Nov. 2, 9 p.m., officers investigated a fraud complaint at The Rock. A student had entered without paying. The student was identified and a warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office for his arrest.

Broken window
Nov. 4, 8 p.m., officers investigated a broken window at Bond Hall. No suspects could be identified.

No insurance
Nov. 4, 9:30 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Ferris Drive for speeding. The driver was ticketed for not having insurance.

DPS issued 451 parking and traffic violations between Oct. 30 and Nov. 6 totaling $7,540.
