Free “Straight Outta Compton” screening

CLACS will host a screening of “Straight Outta Compton” at 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4 in University Center room 202C. The event is a part of CLACS’s “Bulldog Weekends,” which provides on-campus activities to students on weekends. Popcorn will be provided.

FSU choir and band concert

Ferris’ jazz band and choir will perform a holiday concert at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 in the Big Rapids High School Auditorium under the direction of Matt Moresi and Cate Arroe.

Voca Lyrica Holiday Concerts

Big Rapids’ women’s choir, Voca Lyrica, will perform three concerts of holiday music for students and the community at the United Church of Big Rapids. Candlelight concerts will be held with a brass quintet and an organist at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 6. Voca Lyrica will be accompanied by the Big Rapids Children’s Choir at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6. New Ferris Foundation appointment

Jack Roberts, CEO of the search engine optimization firm Peak Positions, was recently appointed to the Ferris Foundation board of directors. Each year, the Ferris Foundation oversees millions of dollars in donations to Ferris State University.
