Big Rapids landlord Craig David Chapman, 50, was found guilty of soliciting a possible tenant for prostitution. The victim, a 26-year-old female, testified Chapman had suggested lowering rent to see her naked.
Chapman, owner of Chapman Housing in Big Rapids, was found guilty of the misdemeanor charge Friday by Judge Peter Jaklevic in Mecosta County’s 77th District Court. Chapman was arraigned in August and faces a maximum penalty of 93 days in jail and $500 fine.
