Students interested in learning more about the issues student veterans face on campus and what they become involved in are welcome to an information meeting.
The Student Veterans Association will be holding an information meeting to talk about topics ranging from earned credits while in the military and cultural awareness credits, to parking and mobility for injured and disabled veterans on campus.
Team Rubicon, an organization made of current and former military service members and first responders, will also be talking about what they do. Their mission revolves around making first responders more efficient and better prepared by bringing their military training and experience to emergency, accident and disaster responses.
The Student Veterans Association will also be participating in the anniversary party in the University Center. This party will be to celebrate the one year of the University Center on Ferris State campus. There will be video games, euchre and other card games, and dominoes provided by the Student Veterans Association, and other activities put together by other registered student organizaitons at Ferris.
The information session will be held at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday in the University Center room 203. Lunch will be provided during this time.
The anniversary party will be held at 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday in the University Center room 217.
