At approximately 1:50 p.m., March 28, a female student was hit by a car when crossing the street in front of FLITE Library.
The student was in a crosswalk when the incident occurred and the driver was ticketed with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the student was still conscious after the accident and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
