“It’s a Girl”
On March 31, the Diversity and Inclusion Office will be sponsoring a screening and discussion of the documentary film “It’s a Girl.” The film tells the stories of abandoned and trafficked girls, of women who suffer extreme dowry-related violence, of mothers fighting to save their daughters’ lives, and of other mothers who would kill for a son.

One of the showings will be held from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in IRC 104 and the other 6-8 p.m. in IRC 120 with discussion held by professors Teresa Bailey, Sharon Colley and Tracy Busch. For more details on the film, go to http://www.itsagirlmovie.com/.

2016 Women’s Expo
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Zeta Epsilon chapter, will be sponsoring the 2016 Women’s Expo on March 31 at 6 p.m. They are welcoming vendors to promote health, beauty tips and more. The expo is being held in the IRC Connector and will conclude in the Business room 111 with a guest speaker. For details on how to get involved, students can email zetaepsilonaka@nullgmail.com.

New art exhibit
Starting on April 4, the Ferris Fine Art Gallery, located on the second floor of the University Center in room 205, will be opening its doors with the new exhibit, “No Stone Unturned: Hybrid Landscapes & Eco Systems.” This is a solo exhibit by Ethan Ross, recipient of Ferris State University’s 2014 MFA Kendall Graduate Award. The gallery hours are:
Monday – Friday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday – 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sunday – Closed
