As announced during the Late Night at the University Center welcome weekend event on August 27, the headlining homecoming comedians this year will be Natasha Leggero, known for her Comedy Central celebrity roasts, followed by Michael Che, co-anchor of the Weekend Update segment on Saturday Night Live (SNL).
Ferris diagnostic medical sonography freshman Sam Soto was pleased to hear the news.
“I am excited for Michael Che,” she said. “He’s from SNL and he is my favorite on the show.”
The event is being hosted by the homecoming committee with funds allocated from the Finance Division of Ferris’ Student Government.
While the names are established in the comedy world, not everyone immediately recognized the pair. That didn’t stifle the excitement though.
“I don’t know who they are,” said Ferris education freshman Emily Chaney, “But I’m really into comedy and I’m planning on going.”
Leggero and Che are set to take the stage at Williams Auditorium on Wednesday, September 22, at 8 p.m., and tickets to the event are free to students and will be made available in advance.
