Junior forward Caiden Gault, Ferris State hockey’s leading goal scorer from 2024-25, has entered the transfer portal.
Gault was a Hobey Baker nominee after he captured 25 points (15-10–25) in 36 games played this season. The Oakville, Manitoba native has spent all three years of his college career with the Bulldogs.
The 2024-25 season acted as a breakout season for the junior, as his 15 goals were three times what he had in his first two seasons combined. In his three campaigns, Gault suited up in 78 contests.
Ferris State hockey’s offseason has been full of changes. Gault’s announcement to transfer comes a day after Brett Riley was introduced as the program’s new head coach. Alongside Gault, Ferris State’s captain, junior defenseman Travis Shoudy, and leading scorer Cole Burtch are also in the portal.
