Just a few months removed from leading the Bulldogs to their third national championship in the last four years, junior quarterback Trinidad Chambliss announced that he would be transferring to Ole Miss.

This past season, Chambliss took over full control of the quarterback position, starting all 15 games. Chambliss threw for 2,925 yards, 26 passing touchdowns alongside 25 rushing touchdowns, while only throwing six interceptions.

The Harlon Hill finalist declared his decision via X, formerly known as Twitter.

“During my time at Ferris State, I have truly grown both as a student and as an athlete,” Chambliss said. “I am truly appreciative of the coaching staff, my teammates, the athletic department, and the entire Bulldog community for helping shape me into the student-athlete I am today. After prayerful consideration and discussions with my family and coaches, I have made the decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal.”

The All-American quarterback has two years of eligibility remaining after completing two full seasons with Ferris.

Chambliss announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Tuesday, just three days removed from his move to the portal.

The Bulldogs still have a plethora of quarterbacks on their roster, including junior Carson Gulker who saw action early last season before suffering a leg injury that left him sidelined through the championship game.
