Burnt out
April 11, 6:58 p.m. – Brophy/McNerney Hall was responded to after the fire
alarm went off and there was smoke in the building, causing it to be evacuated. It was determined that someone burnt their food while using their air fryer, resulting in smoke. The building was cleared by the Big Rapids Fire Department.
Domestic Assault at Bond Hall
April 13, 9:48 p.m. – Officers responded to a domestic violence call after they
received reports that a male came into the hall and assaulted a female student. After the assault, the male broke into the student’s room located in Travis Hall and stole her iPad. Officers tracked down the suspect, and he was later arrested.
