Assault and Battery
Oct. 21 – Ferris State officers spoke with two parents who reported that their 17-year-old daughter may have been assaulted on during a campus visit that occurred on Sept. 20. The parents stated that they found concerning videos, photos and messages on their daughter’s phone. The investigation remains ongoing.

I wouldn’t drink that if I were you
Oct. 20, 3:45 p.m. – Residence staff observed alcohol in plain view inside of a refrigerator in a Cardinal Hall suite while completing routine health and safety checks. Two residents in the suite were found to be under the legal drinking age and all occupants were notified of the policy violation.

Caught sitting still
Oct. 20, 11:30 p.m. – Ferris State officers contacted an individual sitting outside a campus parking area after a staff member expressed concern for the individual’s welfare. Officers discovered that the individual had an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction. The subject was taken into custody without incident and turned over to state police for transport and lodging.
