Ferris hockey senior forward Kenny Babinski inked a deal with the Alaska Aces of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

He is the third Bulldog to sign a contract this offseason, joining senior defender Simon Denis and junior forward Kyle Schempp in the professional ranks.

Denis signed with another ECHL Western Conference team in the Fort Wayne Komets and Schempp signed with the New York Islanders’ AHL affiliate the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Babinksi was tied for second on the team in goals scored this year with 10. He provided leadership on a Bulldog squad that won their first WCHA tournament en route to an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA tournament. In his career, he totalled 52 points with 29 goals and 23 assists.

This fourth-year veteran is eligible to play in the remainder of the Aces’ schedule.
