Stranger danger
Dec. 12, 1:35 p.m. officers responded to a report of attempted fraud involving Ferris’ Student Government. The treasurer received an email from an unknown person pretending to be the president of the organization requesting a transfer of funds. The email was from the address president@gmail. com, and when traced resulted in a dead end. No money was actually exchanged.

Trouble at Wal-Mart
Dec. 12, 4:15 p.m. officers assisted the state police with a retail fraud incident at Wal-Mart. Two individuals were identified, interviewed and lodged in jail.
Dude, where’s my stuff?
Dec. 13, 7:55 a.m. officers responded to a larceny complaint in Cramer Hall. A student reported that two PlayStation controllers and four games had been taken from his room. Officers interviewed a suspect but the investigation is still open.

Dec. 14, 11 p.m. officers responded to a report of marijuana in Cramer Hall. Two students were
identified and referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
Icee at Wesco
Dec. 30, 12:05 a.m. officers responded to a report of a one-vehicle incident at Wesco on Perry Avenue. The vehicle slid into the curb and sustained damage to the axle.
Rolling trashed
Dec. 30, 1:25 a.m. officers con- ducted a traffic stop on Northland Drive, south of Big Rapids, for defective equipment. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was lodged in jail.
Past expiration
Jan. 1, 8:20 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle on Northland Drive, north of Big Rapids, for improper plates. The driver was found to be in possession of an expired license and was ticketed.
