Removed Bicycle

On April 14 at 10:12 p.m., officers dispatched to Travis Hall about a malicious destruction of property (MDOP) complaint. A subject’s bicycle was removed from the location where he left it. No suspects.

Larceny Complaint

On April 13 at 9 p.m., there was a larceny from an automobile in Lot 43. A subject’s Stihl Chainsaw was removed from the bed of his pick-up truck. No suspects.

Stolen Reader

On April 9 at 3 a.m., officers were called about a stolen card reader at Hallisy Hall. No suspects.

MDOP Complaint

On April 11 at 2 p.m., officers responded to a report of a MDOP complaint. A picnic table near the Rankin Center was damaged. The legs were broken off. No suspects.

Vehicle Damage

On April 10 at 1 a.m., a subject reported that someone jumped on his vehicle in Lot 68. Police were able to get a shoe print.

Suspicious Vehicle Damage

On April 10 at 10:30 a.m., there was a MDOP complaint to a motor vehicle in Lot 24. The vehicle was kicked and dented on the driver’s side. Investigation continues.

Driving With No License

On April 10 at 3:12 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Knollview and South Street. The driver didn’t have a license and was arrested for the same.

Sign Tossing

On April 11 at 3:03 a.m., officers observed a large group walking near the Student Recreation Center. A subject was throwing a large white sign. The subject was operating while intoxicated (OWI) and lodged in the Mecosta County Jail.

Larceny From Auto

On April 8 at 4 p.m., there was a larceny complaint in Lot 28. A vehicle was broken into and items were stolen. Investigation continues.

Ticket Totals

From April 9 through the 15, the Department of Public Safety identified 301 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $5,230. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided, or reduced. ν
