Homecoming 2009 Bonfire and Pep Rally

Free to all Ferris students, the Homecoming Bonfire and Pep Rally will take place Oct. 8 from 8 to 10 p.m. in Lot 61 (behind Brophey and McNerney). Socialize with other students by the fire, show support to Ferris athletics, get free snacks and drinks courtesy of catering, and dance to the music of DJ Johnny J. Trophies from pep games, kickball, and the lip sync competition will also be awarded. For more information contact Alex Gohl at or the Homecoming Committee.

Comedian Iliza Shlesinger

The Homecoming Committee presents Iliza Shlesinger on Oct. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Williams Auditorium. Shlesinger was the winner of NBC’s sixth season of Last Comic Standing. She attended Emerson College where she participated in a campus comedy sketch group. She won Myspace’s So You Think You’re Funny contest and has also made a number of television appearances. Homecoming Game

Join the football team as the Bulldogs take on the University of Indianapolis at Top Taggart Field at 2 pm. on Oct. 10. For more information contact Rob Bentley at or call x3821.

Homecoming Dance/Social

The FSU Homecoming Dance/Social will take place at the Big Rapids Holiday Inn Hotel on Oct. 10 from 8 p.m. to midnight. Admission is free and shuttle services are provided for students on campus. For more information contact Lindsey Parker at or the Homecoming Committee.

Take Back the Night

Join other students on Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m. on the main campus quad as they march down State St. to promote awareness for sexual assault prevention and domestic violence. Following the march, light refreshments will be available in the Rankin Center Dome Room which will also feature speakers from W.I.S.E.
