The Ferris State men’s basketball team allowed 167 points in two conference losses over the weekend.
After holding a slim halftime lead in the first contest, Ferris was outscored 53 to 26 the rest of the game and lost 81-55 at the hands of Lake Superior State. The Lakers had four players with double-digit point totals and shot 64 percent from the field in the second half.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs lost 86-72 to Saginaw Valley State for their second consecutive home loss. The Cardinals outscored the Bulldogs by 19 points in the second half to cruise to victory. As a team, Ferris shot just 36.8 percent from the field.
The Bulldogs fell to 6-6 overall and 4-3 in the conference this season. Ferris plays at rival Grand Valley State tomorrow at 8 p.m. The Bulldogs defeated the Lakers by 26 points in a contest earlier this season.
