Funeral services will be held Oct. 19 for Ferris student Erik E. Williams.
Williams, whose death occurred Oct. 14, was enrolled in the pre-criminal justice program in the College of Education and Human Services.
The funeral services will be located at Oak Grove funeral home in Ludington. Family has agreed to greet friends on Oct. 18 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
According to deputy reports, Williams, along with passenger Shane Johnson, was driving in Mecosta County when their vehicle drove off the road and hit a tree. The accident happened Thursday morning at 183rd Ave. and Garfield road.
Johnson is currently in critical condition at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
In honor of Williams, the Ferris flag will be lowered to half staff Oct. 19.
