Feb. 2 at 2 a.m., officers assisted the sheriff’s department in an incident where a vehicle ran off the road on Northland Drive south of 13 Mile Road.
Near hit and run
Feb. 1 at 10:30 a.m., officers investigate incident where a vehicle nearly struck a pedestrian in Lot 17.
Suspicious situation
Feb. 2 at 6:40 p.m., officers investigated a suspicious situation in Masselink Hall; three subjects were removed from the building.
No trespassing
Jan. 31 at 1:55 p.m., officers investigated a trespassing complaint in the Rankin Center; the trespassing subject was located and removed from the building.
Damaged van
Jan. 31 at 8:50 a.m., there was a report of vehicle damaged in Lot 29. A side window was broken out of a van.
No headlights and a warrant
Jan. 28 at 7 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Stewart Street driving without headlights. The suspect was found with a warrant for their arrest and was lodged in the county jail.
Credit card fraud
Jan. 27 at 4:30 p.m., there was a report of a fraudulent activity where the suspect used the victim’s credit card to obtain property investment. The investigation continues.
Family dispute
Jan. 29 at 12:30 p.m., officer’s assisted sheriff’s department with a family dispute on Perry Street near the expressway.
Stolen credit card
Jan. 30 at 3:50 p.m., officers investigated a report of a roommate stealing another roommate’s credit card. The investigation for this case continues.
Bookstore burglary
Jan. 27 at 11:30 a.m., there was a report of a larceny complaint at the Rankin Center Bookstore. The subject was suspected of stealing textbooks.
Fatal accident
Jan. 27 at 11:10 a.m., officers assisted the sheriff’s department with a fatal crash on Northland Drive south of Big Rapids.
Ticket Totals: From Jan. 27 through Feb. 2, the Department of Public Safety identified 299 violations. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $4,870. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided or reduced. n
