Harassment complaint

Feb. 12 at 10:41 p.m., officers were dispatched to Merrill Hall in reference to a harassment complaint. Officers spoke with both parties. No other incidents occurred.

Messed up mailboxes

Feb. 12 at 4:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the mailbox building at the East Campus Suites. Some mailboxes had been tampered with. The investigation on this case continues.

Dead deer on car

Feb. 12 at 5:45 p.m., officers observed a vehicle that had a deer carcass in the back of it. The investigation revealed the subject did not have a permit and was cited.

Peeing and fleeing

Feb. 13 at 1:33 a.m., routine patrol officers observed a subject urinating behind Shooter’s Bar. The subject ran and was subsequently lodged for disorderly conduct, obstruction and cited for an MIP.

Too loud

Feb. 13 at 3:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to McNerney Hall in reference to a complaint. Four subjects were ticketed and given MIPs and referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Car hits guardrail

Feb. 12 at 1:29 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle hit a guardrail near the Student Recreation Center. The investigation revealed the subject was under the influence and was arrested for an OWI.

Mirror damage

Feb. 10 at 8:24 p.m., in Lot 32, there was an MDOP complaint. A subject stated he parked on the lot earlier and his passenger side mirror was broken off. Suspects are currently unknown.

Hit and run

Feb. 8 at 10:25 a.m., a subject came to DPS stating she was involved in an accident and the other subject involved had left the scene. The fleeing subject was located and the matter was referred to the prosecutor’s office for possible charges.

Ticket totals: From Feb. 8 through the 13, the Department of Public Safety identified 551 violators. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $9,850. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided or reduced. n
