A round-up of this week’s crime across the FSU campus

Mobilized theft

On Mar. 28 at 10 a.m., a subject was found attempting to remove a wheel mobilizer in Lot 3. The vehicle was impounded and a warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office for MDOP and attempted larceny.

Card Error

On Mar. 24 at 6:30 p.m., there was a report of damage done to a card reader at Miller Hall.

Rumble at the Gate

On Mar. 27 at 1:15 a.m., officers assisted city police with two disorderly subjects at the Gate. The two subjects were lodged in the county jail.

Stolen cash

On Mar. 22 at 7:40 p.m., there was a report of theft of money from Cramer Hall. The money was stolen from an unattended room.

Window damage

On Mar. 20 at 8:50 a.m., there was a report of a damaged window in McNerney Hall. A subject was attempting to enter the building.

Laptop larceny

On Mar. 21 at 4:30 p.m., a laptop was reported stolen from an unattended room in the South Campus Apartments.

Attack dog

On Mar. 27 at 4:50 a.m., officers assisted city police concerning a dog bite incident on Warren Avenue.

Turn down the music

On Mar. 27 at 5:20 a.m., officers assisted city police on Michigan Avenue concerning a loud party. Two subjects were lodged in the county jail.

Corrupt credit card

On Mar. 25 at 4:45 p.m., there was a report of credit card fraud at Huntington Bank.

Hit and run

On Mar. 24 at 3:40 p.m., there was a report of a hit and run accident in Lot 11.

Marijuana complaint

On Mar. 25 at 9:40 p.m., officers assisted hall staff at Pickell Hall concerning a marijuana complaint. One subject was given an MIP and one was given a warrant by the prosecutor’s office.

Snowplow snafu

On Mar. 23 at 5:25 a.m., there was a report of a sidewalk snowplow striking a parked car in Lot 6.

Disorder at Odyssey

On Mar. 19 at 1:50 a.m., Officers assisted police with disorderly subjects at the Odyssey night club.

Wal-Mart and Meijer robbery

On Mar. 23 at 12:45 a.m., officers investigated retail fraud that occurred at Wal-Mart and Meijer. One subject was lodged in the county jail for possession of stolen property. A warrant request was sent to the prosecutor’s office for a second subject in the complaint.

Ticket totals: from March 22 through the 19, the Department of Public Safety identified 306 violations. Each violator was ticketed for a total of $5,290. Actual amount depends on whether the ticket was paid, voided or reduced. n
