Ferris State football continues recruiting roll

New FSU football head coach Tony Annese is off to an exciting start to the 2012 recruiting class, as Ferris State University picked up its 33rd commitment of the 2012 class as Curtis Csonka committed to the Bulldogs. Curtis was a standout offensive lineman from Palm City, Fla. Csonka is a relative of one of the best players ever to play in the NFL, Larry Csonka, and comes in as one of the more highly touted FSU commits.

FSU hockey assistant picks up national honors

Drew Famulak, assistant head coach at FSU, has picked up the prestigious Terry Flanagan Award, which awards an assistant hockey coach for their entire body of work throughout their career. Flanagan has been a part of the Bulldogs staff for 19 consecutive seasons starting back in 1993 and won this award once before as an assistant at Bowling Green University. Flanagan and the rest of the staff will travel to Naples Florida for the awards ceremony in April to commemorate this achievement.

Men’s tennis team to face Aquinas in season opener

The Ferris State University men’s tennis team is set to kick off its 2012 campaign against Aquinas College on Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs look to improve on their solid 13-8 record last season by starting off strong. FSU looks to be led by the three seniors on the team, Steven Roberts, Jack Swan and Oriol Vidal Cortes.
