Men’s golf wins Wisconsin-Parkside Invite
The Ferris State University men’s golf team kicked off its spring season with a first-place finish at the Wisconsin-Parkside Spring Invitational this past weekend (Mar. 24-25). The invitational, which was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, was held at Otter Creek in Kenosha, Wisc. For the tournament, the Bulldogs shot rounds of 285 and 281 to finish at 566, which was three-strokes over runner-up Indianapolis. Individually, seniors Richard Weisenberger and Gary Bissell led FSU by both tying for fourth overall at 140.
Women’s golf opens season in Kentucky
The FSU women’s golf team began its spring season with a seventh place showing in the Northern Kentucky Spring Invitational (March 24-25) held in Perry Park, Ky. The Bulldogs finished at 69-strokes over par at 635 for the tournament. Senior Erin Fuchik led FSU at 10-over with 154 on rounds of 78 and 76. The 20-team field was won by Indianapolis which shot a 597
at 21 over par.
