Scream around the world

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, the event “Scream Around the World” will take place in the north campus quad. The Ferris Student Government-hosted event begins at 4 p.m. and lasts until 7 p.m.

Admission is free and the event will feature multiple organizations offering activities that represent different aspects of Halloween. Such activities include pumpkin painting, pumpkin smashing, a costume contest and candy giveaways, according to University Advancement and Marketing.

Donations will be accepted and proceeds will benefit United Way.

Rankin Art Gallery to feature exhibit by award-winning artist

“Journey: Life from the Inside Out,” an exhibit of works by award-winning Kendall College of Art and Design graduate Shelley Newman Stevens, will begin on Nov. 1.

The exhibit will last until Nov. 20 and will feature figurative oil paintings.

Stevens graduated with her Masters of Fine Art from Kendall in 2004. She now works as an assistant professor in the Fine Arts Department at Central Michigan University and a studio artist at Golden Apple Studio in Mount Pleasant.

Autumn aLive

We the Kings, American pop-punk band, will perform at the annual Autumn aLive event on Nov. 1 in the Wink Arena.

Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for the public. The show begins at 7 p.m.
